Joey Knuckles has been tattooing since 2003. Beginning his career in Columbus Ohio most notably High St. Tattoo where he honed his tattoo skills in a fast paced environment under his mentor Giovanni. He then moved to Philadelphia in 2008 working in legendary shops... Philadelphia Eddies, Olde City Tattoo, Art Machine Productions and Black Vulture Gallery Over the past five years. He now owns High St tattoo after purchasing it from good friend, mentor and High St. founder Giovanni. Joey prides himself on being a Well-rounded tattoo artist specializing in anything ranging from Cover-ups, custom lettering, floral work, and large scale illustrative designs.... just no portraits please.
When not tattooing Joey spends his time honing his fine art and graphic work by doing commission paintings and commercial work. Most notably album artwork for Old Firm Casuals, Pound for Pound, and Wisdom In Chains. Joey also hand paints posters for Local Hardcore/Punk shows and offers limited edition large-scale prints as well as a large offering of his personal work in original and high quality art prints.
