I prefer doing colorful traditional, neo-traditional and 90s new school tattoos.
I have worked in a lot of studios in the last decade or so. While writting this, this is my 13th year since I started my apprenticeship.
I did my apprenticeship in Wahiwa, HI, right outside Schofield barracks at Hawaiian Island Tattoos under Nancy and Buddy Conte.
I worked in a couple shops in Hawaii, Homies tattoos, and Inked Nation Tattoo's in Honolulu before I came home.
In Maryland I worked at Snakeman's Tattoos, No Sleep Tattoos, Baby Blue and Vape ink, before finding a home at Pop's Tattoo in Silver Spring, MD. I stayed there for just under three years and was supposed to buy the shop, but a month before it was supposed to change hands my boss decided he didn't want to sell after all.
Within a month I'd secured my own location. I opened Queen's Gambit Tattoo the following year. This is the second year we've been open and we're ending it with an expansion for two more stations and an art room.
