Visionary Art encompasses the infinite experience of collective consciousness; in contrast, tattooing in the past has been a secluded experience. The convergence of the infinite and personal is Visionary Tattoo.
Visionary Tattoo is about liminal space. It exists between other spaces, so the tattoo exists in the body somewhere between the surface and the area deep inside. The roll of the tattoo should exist somewhere between our everyday reality and deeper spirituality.
The door is wide open for clients creative imput to design both the image, and the ritual of carving the body to reflect the soul within. I offer Reiki and meditation for those interested, and am open to any other practices that bring higher meaning to the transformation of tattooing.
I do both color and black and grey. Primarily a painter and figure drawer before becoming a tattoo artist, my work has a loose quality that carries emotion. I love using dotwork and smooth shading to both accent and integrate. I stand open and respectful to any ideas,and I ask people to consider the origins of their art and how it connects to them on a personal deep and trans formative level.
