Nitya started her piercing journey at Boston's premiere body piercing
studio, The Chameleon in Cambridge, Massachusetts back in 1998. During
those foundational years, she enjoyed pushing the extremes of body piercing
and modification. The importance of technique and client rapport were
paramount. Following her time at The Chameleon, she pursued opportunities
at various studios, including Third Eye Tattoo (where she also apprenticed
as a tattoo artist), Venus by Maria Tash, and NY Adorned. In 2009 she
turned to taking only private clients while she built a Reiki and Yoga
business. Throughout her career, she prioritized forming genuine
connections with clients, celebrating their uniqueness through the art of
piercing. In 2022, she returned to studio work, eager to share her
expertise and down-to-earth approach with a new generation of clients.
