Hey there—I'm Sixx, a lifelong artist and tattooer who's been passionate about ink since the age of 13. With more than 20 years of professional experience, I've developed a versatile style that blends fine-line precision, bold color work, and creative custom designs to help bring each client's vision to life.
My journey into tattooing began through a mentorship in San Antonio, Texas, where I combined my background in graffiti and street art with traditional tattoo techniques. Since the 1990s, I've had the opportunity to own shops, travel coast to coast, work conventions, and connect with incredible people through the art of tattooing.
One of the highlights of my career came in 2017 when, with the support of dedicated family and friends, I helped open Model City Ink in Anniston, Alabama. The shop became the first tattoo studio allowed in the city's business district since a ban that dated back to 1917—making it a meaningful moment in the city's tattoo history.
When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me drawing, painting, or spending time with my awesome wife teaching her the ins and outs of the tattoo industry. I've studied Art History and Commercial Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Phoenix and Nossi College of Art, education that continues to influence the depth and intention behind every design I create.
When you sit in my chair, expect a laid-back atmosphere, a few terrible dad jokes, and a tattoo experience focused on collaboration and storytelling. Every piece I create is personal for me as well as you, and designed to be something you'll wear proudly for life.
