I became interested in tattoos since I was a kid. I have always been drawing and painting since I can remember. My grandfather had tattoos done in Hawaii in 1945 during World War 2 which sparked my interest. I served in the US Navy as an Avionics Technician 2nd class and worked on S3-B vikings. While in the Navy I got my first tattoo at Johnny Two Thumbs in Singapore in 1997. I was hooked!!! Thats when I figured out that I wanted to be a Tattoo Artist. While in San Diego I went to a few shops and asked for them to apprentice me. No dice so I moved back to AZ. I lucked out! my brother new a guy that was offering to teach tattooing. I started my apprenticeship in 2000 with Darrin Craig at Wicked Ways Tattoo in Apache Junction AZ . It was over in 2002. I tattoo at a few shops in tempe and Scottsdale. then I ended up at Lady Luck Tattoo in Tempe which was a positive experience. I was there for 7 years and I learned quite a bit there. In 2015 I then got an opportunity and took over one of Phoenix AZ's oldest tattoo shops (33 years old) and renamed it Lost Dutchman Tattoo.
