Tattoo artist and painter Wakako moved to San Francisco from
her homeland of Tokyo, Japan in 2000. During the past twelve years
living in the United States, she has lived and worked in San Francisco,
Las Vegas and Hawaii while and held guest spots in shops through out
United States and around world.
She expresses her Japanese influenced art through watercolor, acrylic
painting and tattooing. Being one of two female Japanese tattoo artist
working in the in United States,
Wakako has been featured in a variety of magazines and periodicals through out the world.
2007 Wakako’s passion for bicycles led her to co-open a bike shop in
Tokyo Japan. The opening of the shop has allowed her to express herself
in a new way Wakako has collaborated on project design for a variety of
companies producing graphic art for bicycle hubs, frame logos and
bicycle apparel.
